Mama is a Tree

I love this illustration from I Saw Esau by Maurice Sendak. I wish I could turn myself into a tree to shelter my children from rain or anything else which might cause them unhappiness or pain. I know we can't protect our children from everything in this life (nor should we protect them from everything in life) but it doesn't stop me from sometimes wishing...
