I tell you the best Valentine suprise I got was last year my boyfriend of 11 years, father to my two beautiful children named a star after me ... you can buy these gift packs see with the map of the sky and the exact location and scientific reference for your star and a certificate that says it also carries your name ... he'll have a hard time beating that this year! x (gipsyrose@hotmail.co.uk)
ReplyDeletewow, a star... beautiful!
DeleteThese little dolls appear to be made entirely out of love.
ReplyDeleteI hope I win. If I do I shall provide an excellent home.
Sharon.
yes. wood, felt, paint, and... love!
Deleteoh what a sweet giveaway! sweetest Valentines surprise (because we really don't do many gift exchanges, my Mister & I) was probably a beautiful album he had delivered to me in my dorm room in London UK where I was doing my Master's for a year. we hadn't yet become altogether too serious but it was clear he wanted me to have a book to put all of our memories to come in. and it was incredibly heartfelt, and practical all at the same time - so HIM.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance! and congrats on the book!
oh, sweet story, my friend!

Lucky number one?
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in Northern Ireland I received an anonymous Valentine which is the tradition in the UK. Exciting! My b-day is two days before V Day so I always associate it with good things...cinnamon hearts on a white cake, red and pink balloons, violets, and all those 'traditional' things! I've ordered some peg dolls just to make these love bugs!!
ooh, I love those traditional February things... I have a February birthday, too :-)

ReplyDeleteMy highschool boyfriend took me to see the "Justice" tour, Metallica...yep I am now 43 with 3 kiddos 1,3 and 6. Old and tired...no one would ever look at me and think "wild child"...lol
ReplyDeleteMakes me imagine all sorts of things when I look at the elderly...what crazy wonderful adventures???
big smile, on my face... yes, indeed. after years of adventuring, my life, too, seems so sedate now.
Deleteand yes, I too love looking at people and wondering what adventures they've had along their paths through life (or why they chose to wear that particular shirt today, or what thoughts ran through their head as they brushed their teeth this morning...)
Roses are red

Cutest little love bugs! I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day because it has become so commercial. So I try to make all my valentines gifts or at least buy hand made. One of my favorites was making tie dyed boxer shorts for my sweetie. (nataliemcintire@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteDyed boxer shorts? Brilliant!

ReplyDeleteLove your wonderful book, can't wait to make some peg dolls from it.
Hi, I am terrible at poetry, so I have a little story instead. My most memorable valentines day was 6 years ago. I was in hospital after having given birth to my first child, and feeling a little blue as I sat alone watching parades of partners arrive with flowers and presents for the other new mums. When my hubby finally arrived - empty handed- I complained about not getting anything. He promptly pointed out that I had just got a new baby, what more could I want?! What a save!! To this day he still has never remembered valentines day, but every year I still think of my little boy as my valentines present. We adore the love bugs! fledglingshollow at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteLove bug we hear your wishes
ReplyDeleteAnd are sending Valentine kisses
We will add a big hug
And hope you now feel snug.
Hope not too snug and they still want to cme stay with us! Loving the blog tour and the book (it's my birthday request from DH :))

These love-bugs are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThey're teensy! They're twee!
Though I'd give them to the kids,
I'd want them for me.
The love bugs make me dream
ReplyDeleteIn a year or two of morns.
When my name is finally "Nonna"
And my new playmate is born!
We love peg dolls and this would be great inspiration... so much fun! Thanks for the chance.
