Brooch Swap Wrap Up

Here is a sampling of brooches created for the swap Jen and I hosted in September:

My friend K. sent this heart from her home in California. She said, "It's a Lavender Heart. I put organic dried lavender flowers in the center so the brooch has a nice scent."

Karen of Bridgit's Bell stitched layers of felt to created this beautiful heart shaped brooch.

Laura makes the most delightful ceramic button (which you can see here at her etsy shop sheppardhandmade ) and she used her skills with ceramics to create these lovely brooches.

Colleen from Ottawa created this bright little red bird.

Christina Lane of Fruits of Heart created this happy Australian koala.

Anna created this sleepy leaf-wrapped baby...

Anna also created this ethereal dragonfly.

Jane created two dramatic brooches

My friend Dawn's swap partner has just taken on the responsibilities of being a Girl Scout leader.  In honor of this, Dawn created a Girl Scout themed brooch for her swap partner.

Jen of Sewn Natural felted this bluebird brooch (bedecked with gold embroidery) for her swap partner.

Anette needle felted this sweet baby surrounded by pink flowers for her swap partner.

Thank you to everyone who sent me photos -- I love seeing what you created!

  1. What a gorgeous collection - and how interesting to see all the different images that came into people's minds when they read the word 'brooch'!
