Gnomeo, Gnomeo, Wherefore art Thou...

To prepare for a visit to the cinema last Friday, my older son & I skimmed through this nicely edited volume of Romeo & Juliet. It was a perfect preparation for the film. My son ended up familiar with some of the characters (esp. Tybalt, who is a sort of bad guy) and recognized several famous speeches & plot points (the best, in this movie, as far as I'm concerned, was the use of the prologue from the play!)

Anyhow, if you're a fan of ridiculous lawn ornaments or silly gnome-related humor, grab your favorite child by the hand & head to the theater for a perfect, rainy-day escape...

  1. we took the kids on Valentines day to see this movie...it was Matildas first time in a theatre!! So so glad we went to see it, we all LOVED it, and it seemed like the most perfect thing to do on Valentines day as a family!
It did make me wonder though...what is it with British pop stars from the 1970's and gnomes?
