Shayna Punim

Yesterday I opened my mailbox. Lo and behold -- a mysterious package sent from afar! The package contained a tiny onesie with handcraft lettering.

Shayna punim means "beautiful face" in Yiddish. It's something a great-auntie, with her cabbage-y cheeks smelling of face powder & hair spray, might say as she gives a firm, coral nail-polished pinch to a rosy toddler cheek. "Oy!" great auntie would say, "Such a shayna punim!"

Thank you Wendy (of Little Green Bums) for creating this adorableness!!!
